Brief introduction:Dr. Feng received his Ph.D. from University of Illinois College of Medicine in 2008. After that, he joined Dr. Stanley Lemon’s group at University of Texas Medical Branch as a postdoctoral fellow. In 2010, Dr. Feng moved to University of North Carolina with Dr. Lemon and continued his postdoctoral training. From 2014, he joined The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Nationwide Children’s Hospital as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Feng focuses his research on pathogenesis of viral hepatitis, and has published his research findings in journals such as Nature, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), Journal of Clinical Investigations, and Journal of Experimental Medicine. Particularly, Dr. Feng worked together with Dr. Lemon, discovering a novel pathogenic mechanism for HAV through hijacking cellular membrane (Nature, 2013), which provides a novel insight into pathogenesis of hepatitis virus and picornavirus.
