Professor Yiqi Luo received his PhD degree at the University of California Davis, and postdoctoral training at UCLA and Stanford. He currently has a joint appointment with the University of Oklahoma, USA and Tsinghua University, China. His studies are in the areas of ecosystem ecology and earth system sciences. He has conducted global change experiments, extensive data synthesis and data mining, and model-data fusion. His current work focuses on developing a general theory on global land carbon cycle. He was elected to be a fellow of AAAS in 2013 and AGU in 2016.
